You raise a very important point. Clearly the size of your client is going to make a difference, but the solution you use is main driver re solution consumption.
Generally speaking you need more solution the cheaper it is, which can end up actually making it more expensive. With our solutions you should be using around 35ml to 40ml per tan depending on the size of the client. So that's 25 to 28 tans per litre. At 13 to 15 per litre that's around 76ml per tan, which is a lot of product.
Your clients must take a while to dry and it's costing double the money. I would definitely talk to your supplier re your gun setting and technique. On saying that there are many manufacturers that state you will only get 12 or 15 tans per litre from their solutions which is fair enough.
She suggested I probably needed to adjust my gun and air flow - and there was me thinking I nailed it!! Just out of curiousity, how do you have yours set? I am relatively new to spray tanning so I'm learning every day! Trinitia Well-Known Member. Out of a 1 litre bottle of tanning solution you should get around tans. It will depend on how long you have been tanning for as if you are just starting out you do tend to overspray a little so this number will actually be around full tans.
If you are not getting this amount you will need to adjust your dial at the back of the gun as you are allowing too much spray to come out. On average you should be using around ml of solution per full body.
Hope this helps. I use around 35mls per tan - above 50 is a lot!! I only have ever used 50ml on larger ladies and doing a double spray. Do you test your guns spray on a roll of bed roll first? It should cover one side nicely without any coming through to the other side of the sheet. I use LA Tan for all other strengths and find that I need the nut to be a bit looser.
I guess it's a thicker solution. You must log in or register to reply here. Latest posts. Male waxing Latest: kronaa Yesterday at AM. Do I need to cut my acrylic nails down? Latest: sammi Sunday at PM. Ask a Pro.
