How does warrior end
As was the literal mushroom cloud bomb that Xena set off before she took on an entire army during her suicide mission. I wish I were kidding. Xena, knowing that she had to die to fight Yodoshi, single-handedly took on an army, which resulted in her being shot by a number of arrows before finally being decapitated. Needless to say, that was not fun to watch. But Xena had a plan. She was no stranger to the underworld and fully intended on coming back to life after killing Yodoshi.
Only, once she completed her task and freed the 40, souls, she realized that in order for them to remain in a state of grace, she had to stay dead. So Gabrielle took her chakram and her ashes and continued her journey without her. But having Xena go out and be a peaceful spirit and let Gabrielle become the girl with the chakram and super cheesy lines? Plus, the whole peaceful spirit thing makes me itch. Xena was a warrior who never stopped fighting.
She had proved time and time again that she could not be killed, that she was the best of the best. So why not end things with her whistling over her horse and riding off to her next venture? Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search. At the end of Warrior , just after Brendan taps Tommy, he talks to his coach Frank probably asking him to say something to his wife, Tess.
Then it seems like he is talking to some agent of some kind, and Frank is seen talking to the referee asking him to back off or something. What is happening on the stage at this moment? Is it some trick Brendan pulls off not to make his brother arrested? They are last seen walking in some corridor, but the referee hasn't officially announced the winner yet. I can't understand this very last scene. What does the last scene of Warrior mean?
Frank makes eye contact with the jubilant Tess. Indicates she should meet them in the locker room. Meanwhile, people pour into the cage. Frank pushes them aside, keeping them away from Brendan and Tommy, who remain on the ground, exhausted. Tommy to begins to WEEP. A torrent of sobbing gushes from him, years of pain pouring out in heavy bursts. From the crowd, Paddy stares into the cage and watches as Brendan comforts his little brother, then helps him to his feet.
And after their mother then became sick and passed away, Tommy was left to grow up on his own. When the bank threatens to foreclose on his home, he decides to tap into his MMA fighting background — both boys fought when they were young. Meanwhile, Tommy also signs up for the tournament. Now an Iraq-war veteran, Tommy wants to win the money in order to help out the family of his best friend, a soldier who died in battle. Xena befriended a Japanese girl named Akemi who pleaded with Xena to mercy-kill her after Akemi killed her own father. Xena honored her wishes, but an attack by Akemi's villagers forced Xena to burn down the village in her defense.
In the fire, 40, people died, and Akemi's father transformed into the demon Lord Yodoshi. All 40, souls became enslaved within him, and Xena chooses to allow herself to be killed to free the people she killed so long ago. Although the Xena finale hinted at a possible resurrection for its lead, the series ended with Xena wanting to remain dead. At the time, the writers and producers wanted a redemption story for Xena with a sense of finality, and the only real redemption they could see making sense was for Xena to die.
As the show's producer Rob Tapert, who co-wrote the finale, said in a interview with The New York Post , that they felt her death was an " appropriate " way for her story to end and that it was the most effective way to pull off a proper " redemption " for Xena.
