I was able to join a game at start at 14, but I want to try myself. I beat 25 in NH already. They changed it. At first you could start at wave 14 and just farm the pet over and over again. Then last update before 1.

Now they Ninja changed it so you can only start on wave 12 and have to do 12, 13, and 14 for the pet now. The Change was not needed and honestly should be changed back to wave 13 and We probably need dataminers to figure out what they ninja nerf, just like for warframe, because the devs are too scared to actually tell us what is going on with the game.

In DD1 we had extremely detailed patch notes, and now we get barely anything, they need to fix this. You'd think that a proper balance would be to make sure the reward matches the difficulty, and vice versa. There is no good reason to delimit this. If someone is good enough to beat wave 25, then the pet at the end shouldn't be able to roll insane stats that make the player all that much better.
