Where to get monkey bones for monkey madness
Don't forget to take some good food with you and maybe a prayer potion if you think you'll need it, he can hit rather nasty himself. After you killed him pick up his bones and run into the long grass until you aren't under attack anymore and turn back into monkey form. You can find the small Monkey Zombies in the basement of the Ape Atoll temple.
They are easy to kill with either range, mage or simply melee. Use the Protection From Melee Prayer if needed. Don't forget it is a multi-combat area and that there are poisonous spiders around who can poison you through prayer. Also don't forget to turn back into monkey form before you go upstairs in the temple again or you might get trapped by the gorillas and be killed. You can find the level 98 monkey in the Zooknock Dungeon , the level you can find at the pyres underneath the Ape Atoll temple where you already found the Small Zombie Monkeys.
You can kill them on either place but it is the easiest to kill them while going to meet Zooknock to get your bones and Monkey Talismans made into Greegrees. They aren't that hard to kill, especially if you use the Protect From Melee Prayer.
While your are fighting them in the Zooknock Dungeon make sure you are standing under a ledge or you will get hit by falling stones, which damage you through prayer, while fighting. You can find both kinds of gorillas in the Ape Atoll temple. This is the only difference between both kinds, both have the same name and stats. Killing these gorilla's is trickier than it seems at first. There is an altar nearby so you won't have to worry about getting killed if you don't forget your Anti-poison Potions the small spiders poison through prayer!
The hard part here is the fact that the gorillas regenerate when their Life Points have dropped to a low level. There are several ways to accomplish this. The easiest way to kill them is to get yourself a Dharok Barrows set, let them hit you until you are at low Life Points they don't hit over Life Points then turn protect from melee prayer on and just kill them in a few blows.
But this option isn't open for everyone and can be rather dangerous since it might get you killed when your timing isn't exactly right. Another way is to hit them until they are at approximately a quarter of their maximum Life Points and then use 4 Dragon Dagger special attacks on them in quick succession killing them off before they can regenerate.
Starter 1. Head north along the coast to a shipyard, enter through the gate. Then speak to peak with G. Caranock at south of the shipyard. Return to King Narnode. Talk to Daero at the Blurberry bar platform on east side of the 1st floor of Grand Tree, then talk to Waydar.
Unscramble the puzzle or pay , coins to Glough located in the tree house south-east of the Grand Tree. Speak to Daero again or return to the hangar. Speak to Daero, then to Waydar to fly to Crash Island.
Speak to Waydar after you peak to Lumdo. Ape Atoll 1. Travel far west and then north to a bamboo gate on Crash Island. Stand there getting pelted by poisoned arrows to get into prison.
Picklock the cell and escape prison, stay at least 2 squares away from guards. Then stay in grass to hide from archer monkeys, then travel south against the western wall of Temple of Marimbo. Go east along the temple wall and around the monkey palace. Speak to Garkor. Zooknock 1. Head to the U-shaped building south of monkey village, enter through the southern door.
Search the stacked crates two tiles east of the trapdoor for monkey dentures, then the south-easternmost crate to crawl down into the basement may take up to life points damage , afterwards the southern crate in north-west corner of the basement for a monkeyspeak amulet mould. Go back to Garkor, then run south of him towards a ladder, avoid the monkey guards but remain still next to the graveyard , quickly run to the ladder. Climb the ladder, cross it, and jump off end of bridge, then travel west to a dungeon.
Climb down and run through the long dungeon. Monkey's uncle 1. Return to the monkey colony protect from missiles and surge to gate , escape prison and run east into the temple.
Take the southern ladder up, the eastern ladder down, and then the trapdoor down into the dungeon. Or you can kill one of the two gorilla guards blocking the trapdoor and climb down that way. Use the enchanted bar on the fire pit, then the amulet on a ball of wool to create an amulet of monkeyspeak. Go into the garden via the corridor at north-east corner.
Retreat to the corridor if she returns. Equip the monkeyspeak amulet, talk to the monkey child, talk to him again, then again.
Receive the Monkey talisman from the child after the Monkey's Aunt pass by the child once again. As the name implies, these accounts keep their Defence level at 1, while typically training their Strength levels very high. Ranged and Magic are typically trained to the max level along with Strength. These types of builds allow you to maximize your damage while remaining a relatively low combat level. Of course, the way you build your account is completely up to you. There is a huge amount of variations of one defence pure accounts built around specific weapons and combat styles.
Questing is a very important factor in making any kind of pure account. Certain quests are needed to obtain useful items or give access to areas of the game.
For example, manually training your Attack level too much before completing quests that give Attack experience will force you to over-level your Attack skill, ultimately making you a higher combat level. The lowest attack level commonly used for P2P pures is 50, so these quests are ideal to get out of the way before training your Attack skill. Prayer is a tricky skill for pures. It can be extremely useful for PvP and PvE scenarios, but will give your account a significant combat level boost.
A few level differences can put you in a combat bracket with much better built accounts. Unless you are leveling your Prayer to 52 on your pure account, do not complete this quest, or Rum Deal. The following quests will give you Defence experience. All of these quests, and subsequently any quests that list these as a prerequisite cannot be completed. In addition to this list, if you are completing Monkey Madness to unlock the Dragon Scimitar , you cannot re-visit Ape Atoll at any point.
Doing so requires you to talk to an NPC which gives an additional post-quest reward that gives unavoidable Defence experience. If you want to use Ape Atoll to train your Ranged skill using chinchompas — do not complete Monkey Madness until you have finished your Ranged training as you will not be able to return! Due to the lack of Defence levels on the account, pures are very limited in what items they can use.
Because of this, you will want to get your hands on the best possible items for your account. Similar to the iconic Barrows Gloves for main accounts, these are the best version you can unlock on a 1 Defence pure.
These only slightly outclass items like a Combat Bracelet, but are still better nonetheless. The most popular being the Zamorak book, which gives the best offensive stat bonuses when worn. This is generally the weapon of choice for 60 Attack pures. The only important thing to note here, is that upon completing the Monkey Madness quest you cannot return back to the Ape Atoll island. Keep that in mind before finishing off the quest. It will allow you to save a high amount of bolts and arrows when you worn.
Cheap, common boots worn by all types of pure accounts. These are great because they cost next to nothing, and give decent stat bonuses. While not an item directly, this spellbook can be unlocked by pure accounts. Ice spells can be used to freeze your opponent for a short period of time, while Blood spells can be used to regenerate health in combat. In the beginning, you should first decide what type of pure account you want to be. There is some wiggle room when switching between builds, but you have to be careful about your questing early on.
