Where can i read belonging by kelley armstrong

If you had met me a few weeks ago, you probably would have described me as an average teenage girl—someone normal.

Now my life has changed forever and I'm as far away from normal as it gets. A living science experiment—not only can I see ghosts, but I was genetically altered by a sinister organization called the Edison Group. What does that mean? For starters, I'm a teenage necromancer whose powers are out of control; I raise the dead without even trying. Trust me, that is not a power you want to have.

Now I'm running for my life with three of my supernatural friends—a charming sorcerer, a cynical werewolf, and a disgruntled witch—and we have to find someone who can help us before the Edison Group finds us first. Or die trying. Chloe Saunders is not your average supernatural teenager. Genetically altered at birth by a sinister team of scientists, she can barely control her terrifying powers. Now the team that created her has decided it's time to end the experiment.

Now Chloe is running for her life along with a charming sorcerer, a troubled werewolf and a temperamental young witch. Together they have a chance for freedom - but can Chloe trust her new friends? Unfortunately, Chloe happens to be a genetically engineered necromancer who can raise the dead without even trying. I still don't completely trust her. It's so nice to see these two together as a couple though. They're sooo cute! I'm really glad Alexa reviewed this because I would've have missed this and I don't know how long Kelly Armstrong will keep this on her website but any fan of her Darkest Powers series should check it out!

I hope Kelley will write at least another trilogy about them and Tori and Simon, of course. Dec 18, Shelly Crane marked it as to-read. I want to read this! LOVE Derek! Jan 28, Beatrice rated it really liked it Shelves: parts. I want more Derek and Chloe! Give me, give me, give me!!!!!!!!! Apr 23, Shuling rated it really liked it Shelves: novella. All I can say is I am a fan of Derek and Chloe and I've always been wondering what Derek is thinking inside that smart head of his.

And now I see there's nothing but Chloe He is portrayed to be overprotective here and basically, he is. But according to what I've learnt so far, wolves tend to be territorial and protect whatever they consider theirs regardless of the consequences. So the fact that Derek can think rationally however little makes me willing to cut him some slack. The only thing I don't like is that how no one seems to think that a stranger to follow a fifteen-year-old is strange and creepy. And they have the nerve to brush it off. I mean, for someone who has been hiding and escaping, surely you think they have some brains to be careful.

Cute and adorable to the point that my heart is melting. That really brings back fond memories and reminds me why I fell so hard for them both back then. They had earned a place in my heart, and will continue to do so. Dec 30, Natalia rated it really liked it Shelves: werewolves , made-me-laugh , cute-story , ghosts , books-you-should-read. Derek is one of my favorite narrators. I love seeing everything in his POV and he makes me laugh.

Anyway, Chloe and Derek are also one of my favorite couples. If not the. They're so cute together. I have a crush on their relationship. Does that make any sense?

So why didI give this four stars instead of five? Well, the story was a bit weird. I won't tell you too much you'll have to read it and find out but I just I don't know. But Derek is one of my favorite narrators. But it was still much more entertaining than a lot of full-length books I've read. Read this on Kelley's blog.

Thank you Kelley! Jun 25, Page rated it it was amazing Shelves: favorite-books. I loved this. I think Derek and Chloe are my favorite YA couple. It's sooooooooooo refreshing to see what goes on in Derek's mind.

Even though he was extremely gruff, it's nice to see that there really was something to him. I'm glad that the relationship is strong I've got a Mac and they have a downloadable OH!!!!

Dec 12, Penny Ramirez rated it really liked it Shelves: series , urban-fantasy , young-adult. I was taking my time, wanting to savor this "in-between" that was available on Armstrong's blog for free. Guess I could have read 11 chapters a little quicker than 2. Nice story from Derek's pov, and nice to see his relationship with Chloe blossoming. Creepy new werewolves. A quick read. I'm usually not a huge fan of short stories of any series but I just had to read this one. I love Derek and Chloe. I definitely prefer the "official" version of Derek--the quiet, brooding, scowling guy who is protective of Chloe.

This one lacked something I wasn't used to the chatty and slightly goofy version of Derek but I was still happy to see all the interactions between him and Chloe. But when someone from the Edison group alerts the Cains that they have another grandson not living as a part of their pack the happiness Derek and Chloe have found might soon come to a close. I really did enjoy this story. Brad is a minor werewolf character working for Edison group or rather St. Cloud who was over Edison Group in the first place.

The opening chapters mostly establish what the living and relationship situation is like now for the characters of the Darkest Powers Trilogy.

However the action picks up when Derek encounters his long lost werewolf family. I mean whether he was part of the people hunting them or not a potential stalker should concern the adults caring for the teenage girl.

Other than that I really did enjoy the story. The story was engaging, interesting and well written. The characters are where I have an issue with this story, one in particular. Or by now Chloe would have felt the need to tell her or something. I know they were background characters in this story but I felt that situation bore mentioning regardless. The new characters of Theo and Carter I felt were well developed introductions to the series.

Brad was distinctive, though clearly a background character and Nate was a little flat for a character. I imagine it will eventually be officially released as an ebook like the other short stories attached to this series in the Darkest Powers Bonus Pack, but at this time you have to go to the blog to read it. So this is the continuation of the supposed last book in the Darkest Power Trilogy.

The narrator was very easy to listen to. I definitely recommend the book and I have listened to it twice! Loved this book! I expected a love story, the mystery was a bonus. I love the combined elements of mystery, love story and the supernatural elements of ghosts and time travel.

I love Kelley Armstrong's books because they never disappoint and this is no exception. The narrator does a good job with voices and accents as well. I love the Otherworld novels by Kelley Armstrong and thought I would give this a try.

Truly fantastic. The characters come to life through a combination of superb writing and outstanding performance. More historical romance Kelley! This is not my normal type of story, and nothing I would have normally purchased. Excellent story, excellent narration. Kelley did it again! Wonderful narrator for one of my favorite authors. Loved this book so much! Time travel books have always been a favorite of mine!

I absolutely loved this book. I read every Kelley Armstrong book that comes out and was surprised to see a different type of story then I'm used to reading by her, but it is well worth the read.

Kelley keeps you on the edge of your seat and pulls you through the mystery as is per usual in any of her books, the time travel however was a very pleasant surprise.

As someone who also has read and is obsessed with Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, it pulled me in all the more with this story. I love how I can never guess the ending or who the bad guy is, and this book as no different in that aspect. I think the only thing that had me a little disappointed was the ending, it seemed a little rushed and overly corny than I'm used to, but that may just be my own opinion.

All in all amazing book! I highly recommend everyone to read this one. I love historical time travel stories and this did not dissapoint! I only hope the author continues the story!

Really just awful. Save your money or save your credit. I imagine the book is much better via kindle but definitely a regretful purchase and a painful listen. I am a huge fan of Kelley Armstrong, in fact it was her Otherworld series that got me back into reading. So I was so looking forward to relaxing and listening to this latest book. The English accent was also very predictable.

The narrator herself was very good when using her own voice and told the story well. But not enough grit in it for me. I would advise reading the book rather than listening to the audio. Fun, enjoyable timeslip and ghost story. Terrible UK accents on Audible. The narrator's UK accents were distracting at first but then were just downright funny.

I'm a fan of Kelley Armstrong books but found this was probably my least favourite book though the story was OK. I may have enjoyed this more if I had read it as the truly terrible yorkshire accents attempted, which at first made me laugh out loud, became very distracting and meant I couldnt get lost in the story. I liked this book but it was very cheesy at times.

I felt like it should have had more on the ghosts and less lovey dovey crap, but maybe that's just me. I'm not a fan of cheesy love stories. I did enjoy it though, despite the accents by the narrator being very annoying. Kelley Armstrong is one of my favourite writers. I've read nearly all her work, and I love her Otherworld series. Sadly, this isn't her best work anyway - the female lead Bronwyn is strangely passive and eager to please the male lead William , who himself is such an arrogant, pompous windbag that I'm embarrassed for him.

But this is made so, SO much worse by the narrator's bizarre I don't even know what to call it Mash up of bad accents English goes to Yorkshire via public school apparently if you're posh, and Scotland if you're a pov And the tremulous, meek Bronwyn voice in reply. I'm currently about half of the way in, I've slept through some of it and I'm persevering with gritted teeth, mainly out of love for the author, but my god it's hard going!

After reading lots of previous novels by this Author, I was eager to see what this held in store. I was not disappointed. I could picture these spirits described walking the moors, reliving their last moments. There were enough twists to keep you guessing who the main killer was right until the end. I really enjoyed this book! The story had a great plot, mystery characters! Highly recommend! Easy listening and very enjoyable, some unexpected twists, but easy to follow.

I will listen to this again. Light and romantic story with a twist. Beautifully written and performed. Highly recommend if you like romance, mystery and paranormal. This was my first book from this author and I have mixed views. It would make an awesome, intrigue filled film!! With time slips, a murder mystery and romance, the story kept my interest. I tried to pick the murderer the whole way through! However, I didn't think it was exceptionally well written.

There were many times where a word was repeated unnecessarily and very obviously needed synonyms at the least. The narrator was OK. Did a pretty good job delivering different accents from men and women. The standout is the story premise itself. Add to Cart failed. Please try again later. Add to Wish List failed.
