For example, one haplogroup J1-M is most commonly observed in populations that spread from the Zagros mountains in Iran to the Arabian peninsula, particularly Yemen.
By contrast, one haplogroup I-M is most concentrated in Germanic-speaking Europe, and the Western Balkans, particularly Herzegovina. These regions are characterised by tallness, which strongly suggests a correlation between this haplogroup and height.
