Laugh and cry with one of the greatest comedic talents in the world, and be prepared for kids to cope with the content. Adult Written by djgamerz April 27, Definite movie to watch. I would recommend for younger audiences watch the edited version on TV because it does contain language.

There is transgender ideals in there and there is cross dressing , which is something kids find hilarious. Anyway even as a christian I think this is a wonderful movie for most people to watch. Adult Written by dada February 26, What a bummer - hated this movie For years I've seen clips of this movie, particularly Mrs. Doubtfire running the vacuum. I always had the impression it's a comedy. But after watching it, this movie really has no idea what it is. I hated it. And then the scenes of binge drinking trying to make it look funny, that someone is drunk?

I watched this, for the first time ever, with my 10 and 12 year old daughters, and I really wish I hadn't. If I could rewind time, I'd never watch it. But if you must watch, then I just don't think it's appropriate under the age of A great movie Who knew that a movie about divorcing could be so funny. I really liked this movie it was really funny. After reading reviews, I realized those innuendos will go over there heads at 7, but in a couple of years they will notice or ask what the movie implies. The movie depicts a gay couple who show no affection at all. Robin Williams character is ordered to have court supervised visits because he dressed as a woman. I guess impersonating a child care worker is serious but the film focuses only on the trans element without ever indicating it would be ok if he was trans. Few modern films would now either but this also would not be made now as society has progressed a lot in diversity.

My kids were really confused about what he had done wrong and frankly I had no way to to explain it beyond that was the thinking back then. Robin Williams is a delight as always and it is a good film. Also most modern dads would be able to cook a meal now, especially if they were unemployed!

Doubtfire rated PG? Doubtfire PG Run Time: minutes. Robin Williams plays Daniel Hillard, a father of three children, who is still a child himself.

His wife soon asks for a divorce, and Daniel finds himself only able to see his children a few hours a week. Out of desperation, he applies for a job as a housekeeper. Disguised as an elderly lady, he fools his wife and children into hiring who they think is Mrs. Soon Daniel is the after school parent the children should have had all along, but the gig is soon up when his son walks in on him in the bathroom. Like most movies Williams is involved in, this one is engineered to give him centre stage, with the rest of the cast revolving around his presence.

But the film does have some strong language and drinking, which is why the site recommends it for kids ages 12 and older. Doubtfire — including a not-so-family friendly one. Doubtfire on Netflix any time soon. You can watch the full length, PG rated version Mrs.
